Troy is an author, writer and TV host. For the last 10 years he’s been the food writer for San Diego Magazine. His expose “Farm to Fable” was included in the 2017 MacMillan textbook of American food writing (“Food Matters”), and his humor has been featured in CNN, Washington Post, Buzzfeed, Reader’s Digest, Funny or Die!, and Playboy. In 2011 he wrote and hosted his first primetime TV series for Food Network (“Crave”), and has since been a judge on over 100 episodes of “Guy’s Grocery Games” with Guy Fieri. He also co-hosts the food travel show “Campus Eats” on Big Ten Network. He’s been featured as a food expert on “Iron Chef,” “Best Thing I Ever Ate,” and shows for Travel Channel, NatGeo, Cooking Channel, and PBS.
